I have recently completed my Ph.D. at the Chester F. Carlson Center for Imaging Science in Rochester Institute of Technology.
My research focused on using unmanned aerial systems (UAS) for precision agriculture—specifically, applying advanced imaging technologies like multispectral, hyperspectral, and LiDAR to specialty crops such as table beets.
I earned my B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 2017.
In my final year, I worked on a project detecting anemia using smartphone cameras—my first deep dive into imaging, and the beginning of my fascination with its complexity and possibilities.
During the intermission between grad and undergrad studies, I worked as a testing engineer in a transformer manufacturing plant at Energypac Engineering ltd in Bangladesh.
I handled testing, troubleshooting, and quality control, with highlights including automating test report generation and setting up the factory’s first in-house calibration lab.
Outside of work I love being outdoors—hiking, traveling, and racing in triathlons (don’t ask about my times!).
I'm always eager to meet new people and learn about different cultures.
That's my story in a nutshell. Please scroll down to see what I've been upto or if you want to know more about my research!
